Heimat.Heute

Reading and discussion

Home as place or language? As utopia or rejection? Young German authors are invited to engage with the concept of "Heimat" in a four-part writing workshop. The results of the first workshop will be publicly presented in readings and discussions with Kurt Drawert and Dr. Julia Meyer on Sunday morning.

The four-part workshop will be headed by Kurt Drawert, Dresdner Stadtschreiber 2018.

The writing workshop will take place on four weekends in Dresden at different locations. The first event will be held at the Saxon Academy of the Arts, further venues will be the SLUB TextLab, August-Bebel-Str. 18, 01219 Dresden and the German Hygiene Museum Dresden, Lingnerplatz 1, 01069 Dresden.

The final reading will take place on 9 May 2020.
